Bu almada insan kaynakl teknolojik afetler ierisinde yer alan ernobil reaktr kazasna odaklanlmtr. Yaplan incelemede ernobil Nkleer Santralinde meydana gelen ve etkisi yzlerce yl devam edecek olan nkleer kazann, teknik eksiklikler ve yneticilerin izlemi olduklar yanl politikalar neticesinde meydana geldii sonucuna varlmtr. Kurtarma almalarnda grev yapan personelin, Sovyet halknn ve dnya kamuoyunun iinde bulunduklar tehlikeden habersiz braklmalar, insanlk d bir uygulama olarak yer almtr. Kazadan sonra afet ynetimi adna uygulamalarn yetersiz kalmas bata, Avrupa ve SSCB olmak zere Asya, Afrika ve Amerikann da kazadan etkilenmesine sebep olmutur. Yllar sonra kazann etkilerinden korunmak iin 26 lkenin destek verdii uluslararas snak plan oluturulmu, bu plana gre SSCB dneminde yaplp zamanla deforme olan sarkofagusun yenilenmesi 2016 ylnda tamamlanmtr.

An Example of Disaster Management Ineffectiveness in Human-Made Disaster: Chernobyl
 
In this study, Chernobyl reactor disaster, which is one of the human-driven technological disasters, is focused. The research showed that the disaster which occurred in Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and which will go on affecting for hundreds of years was due to the technical deficiencies and the wrong policy that the principals carried out. Keeping the rescue personnel, Soviet people and the world in ignorance about the danger they were in has been an inhuman behavior. The fact that the disaster management after the accident was inadequate has caused Asia, Africa, America and especially Europe and USSR to be affected. After years, the international sanctuary plan has been created to protect from the effects of the disaster with the contributions of 26 countries, and the sarcophagus, which was built in the period of USSR and became deformed over years, according to this plan.
